| Artist's Statement: |
| The architectural details of this building are fantastic. I have collected columns and other architectural pieces from old homes. The capitals on the doorway columns are wonderful stone carvings. I was facing west as the sun was setting. Anything set against strong light appears darker than usual. This building is no exception and the contrast between the dark stone and the light sky reinforced this buildings’ almost overbearing Victorian presence on Selby Avenue. |
