| Artist's Statement: |
| I love light fixtures and especially odd ones; when I saw this gate I thought “why not combine your gate lighting with a “safety” feature---an iron gargoyle?!?” Hey, gargoyles have been used for centuries to ward off demons, why not today? While I was painting a tenant came out to change the light bulb. He told me the sconces had just been restored and used to have a surface with so much more character. Oh well. |
