JEANNE LONG - Watercolor

A watercolor painter for ten years describes herself as someone attracted to depicting the beautiful and the mystical. Nature washed in light is a constant subject. She studied art independently, beginning with figurative work and currently concentrating on landscapes and cityscapes.

She has had several shows and has participated in numerous statewide exhibitions, earning many awards, most recently a best of show in a regional juried competition of over 500 entries. Her work is in private collections and has been published on book covers and in the national magazine, Artist's Sketchbook. She lives in Minneapolis near the chain of lakes, an inspiration for many of her paintings.
